The Cytotechnology students will be presenting an Unknown Case at the upcoming Iowa Society of Cytology Webinar on October 29, 2009. The webinar is attended by Cytotechnologists and Cytopathologists across the U.S. for continuing education credit. The student presentation will be one of four presentations given that date. Their unknown case presentation is regarding the difficulty of diagnosing atrophic patterns in cervical cytology. The students had to choose an interesting case, take photos of the cells from the cervical slides, identify differential diagnoses from other cervical cytology slides, compare them with their case, and present their findings.
