The following grant opportunities are currently being offered by the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). Grant terms begin on July 1, 2014. Pancreatic Cancer Action Network-AACR Research Acceleration Network Grant
These grants will provide $1,000,000 in funding over a one to three- year time period that offers strategic funding and project management services to high priority projects already underway within the pancreatic cancer research community. The projects must include a clinical component, involve at least two institutions, and have strong potential to help reach the goal of doubling survival from pancreatic cancer by 2020. The grant is open to independent investigators and needs to be implemented by at least two co-principal investigators from distinct institutions. It is anticipated that two grants will be funded.

Pancreatic Cancer Action Network-AACR Innovative Grants
The grants provide $200,000 over two years ($100,000 per year) to support independent junior and senior investigators. The grants aim to spur creative and cutting edge ideas and approaches in pancreatic cancer research, including those successful in other areas of cancer that have justifiable promise for pancreatic cancer. It is anticipated that multiple grants will be funded.

Pancreatic Cancer Action Network-AACR Career Development Awards
These two-year grants of $200,000 each will support junior faculty to develop or strengthen their research program in pancreatic cancer. Applicants must hold a full-time faculty position and have held a full-time faculty position for no more than five years at the start of the grant term (i.e., cannot have had a full-time faculty appointment before July 2, 2009). It is anticipated that multiple grants will be funded.

Pancreatic Cancer Action Network-AACR Pathway to Leadership Grant
This five-year grant of $600,000 total will support an outstanding postdoctoral or clinical research fellow and build a future leader in the pancreatic cancer research community. Funding is provided for career development and mentored research during the postdoctoral phase and for continued research in the early independent phase. Applicants must have started a postdoctoral or clinical research fellowship on or after July 2, 2009 (i.e., must be in the first five years of a fellowship at the start of the grant term). It is anticipated that one grant will be funded.
Application Deadline: Tuesday, October 29 at Noon ET
Pancreatic Cancer Action Network-AACR Fellowship
This one-year grant of $45,000 will support an outstanding postdoctoral or clinical research fellow in mentored research. Applicants must have started a postdoctoral or clinical research fellowship on or after July 1, 2011 (i.e., must be in the first three years of a fellowship at the start of the grant term). It is anticipated that one grant will be funded.
