National Infant Mortality Awareness Month

Public Health Community Advisory – September is Infant Mortality Awareness month, and CityMatCH is looking to draw attention to the inequities that still linger. Overall, the United States is making progress in reducing infant mortality rates (IMR). In 2013, the IMR was 5.96/1,000 live births. From 2005 through 2011, the infant mortality rate declined 12 percent.
