Education Highlight – On April 29, members of the College of Public Health (COPH) faculty were recognized for notable achievements at the Annual Awards Dinner. Alumni Highlight – Kathleen Brandert, MPH, CHES, is the 2013 recipient of the College of Public Health Alumni Association Spirit of Service Award. Ms. Brandert is the director of the Great Plains Public Health Leadership Institute and manager of workforce development and leadership programs in the Office of Public Health Practice. She is proud to be an alumni of the UNMC College of Public Health Master of Public Health Program!

2014 Chancellor Robert D. Sparks, MD, Award in Public Health and Preventive Medicine The Honorable Jeremy Nordquist, State Senator of Nebraska Public Health Community Advisory – Jeremy Nordquist was elected to the Nebraska Unicameral Legislature in 2009 to represent downtown and South Omaha, a diverse and thriving district in Nebraska’s largest city.
Public Health Practice – In the spring 2014 semester, the following students completed their Service Learning/Capstone Experience to fulfill the requirements of the professional degree, Master of Public Health, at the College of Public Health at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
