COPH Aims to Make an Impact with Innovative Research in Four Strategic Areas

Spotlight on Research at COPH –  In 2014, the COPH launched a collaborative strategic planning process with participation and input from faculty, professional staff, students, alumni, and community partners. Maurer Distinguished Chair of Public Health for the Department of Health Promotion, Social and Behavioral Health. Spotlight on Research at COPH – The Central States Center for Agricultural Safety and Health (CS-CASH), a NIOSH agricultural forestry and fishing Center, has received recommendation for a second 5 year cycle of funding beginning September 2016. Todd Wyatt, PhD examines dust exposure and lung disease

Todd Wyatt, PhD is a professor with a primary appointment in the College of Public Health, Department of Environmental, Agricultural and Occupational Health. He also has appointments as professor in the College of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep & Allergy and serves as a Research Career Scientist at the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Healthcare System. Faculty members at the College of Public Health are supporting the Nebraska Medicine’s Clinical Enterprise for the Clinical Effectiveness and Efficiency (CE2) efforts. This effort is a part of one of the UNMC strategic goals to ensure that UNMC Colleges and Institutes are optimally integrated with Nebraska Medicine in the patient care settings.
