Raelyn Barton, LIMHP, has been named Clinical Therapist Supervisor in the Department of Psychiatry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barton replaces Meagan Kankovsky, LIMHP, who was promoted to Psychiatry Clinic Manager. Kankovsky knew Barton would be a great successor.<\/p>\n\n\n

\u201cWith prior leadership experience, strong organizational skills, a go-getter attitude, and the increase in supervisory responsibilities Raelyn has assumed over the last year, she is a great fit to lead the clinical therapist team,\u201d Kankovsky said. \u201cRaelyn is looking forward to continuing to grow the clinical therapy team, especially onboarding provisionally licensed therapists and increasing the offerings for trainees and internships.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barton said her main goal is to support and advocate for the therapists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI want to be available to answer any question or help find answers for them,\u201d she said. \u201cIf they need anything, we will meet and we will problem solve and look for the right answer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barton will still see patients for 40 percent of her time. She said it was important to her that she could keep some of her patients in the new leadership role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI went to school to be a therapist, and I love being a therapist,\u201d Barton said. \u201cI\u2019m very passionate about it, and I wanted to make sure I would still have time for patients.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a therapist, Barton sees adults and adolescents. She sees patients with addictions and works in the DBT sub-specialty clinic and with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barton started as Ambulatory Supervisor for Clinical Therapists on Aug. 25, 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
