The guidance and insight I have received from people such as Lauren Edwards, MD, and Justin Weeks, MD, have enriched my residency experience greatly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What challenges do you foresee in graduate medical education in the future?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think two big challenges facing GME are how to mitigate resident burnout in a meaningful way without compromising training quality and, separately, how to think about technology and its role in modern clinical practice. Today, physicians-in-training must acquire foundational knowledge and mastery over certain clinical competencies, as well as learn how to leverage technology effectively to filter and supplement new knowledge going forward into practice.
