The UNMC Postdoctoral Association will host:

Phil Kozera, Executive Director, Bio Nebraska Life Sciences Association, and Dr. Abraham Oommen, co-founder of GeneSeek and MatMaCorp.

Phil is Executive Director of the Bio Nebraska Life Sciences Association, an energetic association of over 75 organizations dedicated to making Nebraska a place where bioscience companies grow and succeed.

As the Executive Director, Phil is focused on four areas: promoting business and research accomplishments; growing and attracting a talented and skilled workforce; facilitating networks and partnerships; and providing access to investment capital and funding. He routinely attends events and tradeshows around the country promoting the accomplishments of Nebraska companies and researchers and presenting the case for why Nebraska is an excellent place for life science companies.

Under Phil’s leadership, Bio Nebraska has become an active participant in the state legislature, a partner in the biotech connector program at Nebraska Innovation Campus and the lead organization in the annual Bioscience Week, which is a weeklong celebration of the biosciences in Nebraska.

Dr. Oommen will discuss his new company, MatMa Corp.
