Surround yourself with wisdom and the lovely smells of a bygone era.  Seize the chance to work in one of the coolest rooms on campus during McGoogan Library\u2019s Rare Book Room Study Hours October 6-8. The library will open this serene space for study for the very first time.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While we can\u2019t guarantee these study hours will make you smarter by osmosis, it\u2019s a doubly rare chance to read, write and learn among some of the true gems of the McGoogan Library\u2019s collection.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s\u00a0what to know before you go:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When:\u00a0<\/strong>Daily,\u00a0<\/strong>10 a.m. to 2 p.m. October\u00a06-8\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where:\u00a0<\/strong>Room 8010, Level 8, McGoogan Library,\u00a0Wittson\u00a0Hall<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can I bring food or drink? <\/strong>Only water in a sealed container. We appreciate your help keeping these collections safe and well-protected. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why now? <\/strong>McGoogan Library\u2019s special collections librarians noted student interest in studying within the space. And October is American Archives Month, which \u201chighlights the vital role of historical records and honors the work of archivists,\u201d according to our own Carrie Meyer, associate dean of the Robert S. Wigton Department of Special Collections and Archives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
