The second session will remain as is.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The McGoogan Health Sciences Library invites the UNMC community to attend an informal meet and greet with Jay Baruch, MD\u2014this year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.unmc.edu\/library\/2024\/03\/20\/humanities-as-critical-medicine-davis-lecture\/\">Richard B. Davis History of Medicine Lecture<\/a> speaker. Dr. Baruch is a writer, ER physician, educator and Professor of Emergency Medicine at Alpert Medical School of Brown University, where he serves as the director of the Medical Humanities and Bioethics Scholarly Concentration.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two opportunities will be offered where attendees can gain personal perspectives from a practicing ER physician who will share his experiences and insights from the profession.
