Learn how to use EndNote to manage your citations. This introduction to EndNote 20 includes importing and managing citations, using the Cite While You Write feature to create in-text citations and bibliographies, and customizing your folders and record view. Presented in conjunction with Research Month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

McGoogan Sessions: Civil War Objects from the Collection
October 10, 2023, 12-1 pm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In conjunction with the visiting exhibit, “Life and Limb: The Toll of the American Civil War” from the National Library of Medicine, learn about Civil War-era medical artifacts housed in the special collections at McGoogan Health Sciences Library. Darby Kurtz, Archivist and Public Historian will present highlights from the collection and share a history of battlefield medicine in the 1860s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Making Data FAIR, Making Data Interoperable

Learn about the FAIR data principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). We will discuss what FAIR is, how to incorporate it into the design of datasets, and why it is vital for managing data. Finally, we will discuss strategies for making your data Interoperable for reuse over time. Presented in conjunction with Research Month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

See this demonstration of Zotero’s use in citation management. Included in this session are the basics of importing and organizing citations, use of Zotero’s Word add-in to create in-text citations and bibliographies, and the setting changes needed to facilitate access to UNMC-licensed, full-text journal articles.
