Visual abstracts make it easy to communicate and amplify your research on journal sites, social media, and <a href=\"https:\/\/digitalcommons.unmc.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DigitalCommons<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Primers on visual abstracts:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Dr. Abbey Fingeret, Associate Professor, UNMC Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology, has a <a href=\"https:\/\/digitalcommons.unmc.edu\/cgi\/viewcontent.cgi?filename=24&amp;article=1000&amp;context=facdev_books&amp;type=additional\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tutorial in Thrive on creating visual abstracts<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Dr. Andrew M. Ibrahim, Chief Medical Officer of HOK and Resident Surgeon at the University of Michigan, has written an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surgeryredesign.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">open-source primer on creating visual abstracts<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Examples of published visual abstracts include those in <a href=\"https:\/\/journal.chestnet.org\/va_meded\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chest<\/a>&nbsp; and <a href=\"https:\/\/meridian.allenpress.com\/jgme\/pages\/visual-abstracts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Journal of Graduate Medical Education<\/a>. Journals and publishers offer templates and instruction on creating visual abstracts, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/page\/journal\/13652923\/homepage\/visual-abstracts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Medical Education at Wiley<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can see how other researchers are using Twitter to share their research using visual abstracts.
