Welcome to SURP students

The McGoogan Library of Medicine is happy to welcome Summer Undergraduate Research Program students to the UNMC campus. During your time at UNMC, you will have access to the library’s online collections, as well as access to the RefWorks citation management system. Librarians are available to assist you with formulating research questions, using library resources, citing references, and more.   Please reach out to us via the AskUs Form located on the library website, sending an email to askus@unmc.edu or you may reach out directly to one of our education liaison librarians.

You are invited to attend sessions focused on developing essential information literacy skills needed to conduct research.  Each session will focus on building awareness of research resources, building confidence in using research resources, and improving information literacy. The library looks forward to supporting the achievement of the outcomes of the SURP program by providing instruction and resources similar to what is available to students and researchers in academic medicine research environments. Students should bring their own devices to class if possible. No registration is required. Sessions will be held in person in the McGoogan Health Sciences Library in Wittson Hall (online for Eppley).
