Enjoy your summer…with the library

By Dawn Wilson

It’s summer in the library. You might expect it to be quiet, a place filled with books and anatomical models but devoid of people. After all, large portions of the student population are traveling, visiting family, playing video games, and catching up on sleep before their next semester. Summer and libraries? What could be more opposite?

Well, everything, of course! The library staff is still here, all summer long, helping, searching, and training. When summer comes and students go, the researchers and faculty come out of the woodwork. Summer is The Season to work on publications, especially for faculty, who’ve been busy teaching the rest of the year.

Guess what: the librarians can even help you maximize the time you get to spend at the beach relaxing. The librarians at McGoogan can do a literature search for you, tailored to your needs.
