Noise in the library – It’s just temporary

Facilities is upgrading the temperature control systems throughout Wittson Hall to make the temperature in the building more uniform. Unfortunately, that means taking down some ceiling panels in the library and replacing the thermostats, and that means that there will be a bit of noise for a few weeks.

Work will start on 7th floor the week of August 25th. From there, Facilities will move to 8th floor, and finally to 6th. The 6th and 7th floor work will be most likely to affect students in the library.

The workers will try to keep the noise to a minimum. When you look for a place for quiet study, keep this schedule in mind, and keep an eye out for ladders and workers overhead. If you see them in your favorite study area, you might want to temporarily relocate.

We promise: the noise is just temporary!
