Between school, doctor appointments, and daily lives\u00a0the girls dedicated two months to\u00a0learning three styles of dance:\u00a0Rumba, Merengue,\u00a0and Country Swing.\u00a0Each song matches the personality of each\u00a0child. 11-year old Daisy likes to dance with her friends to the latest pop hits. 12-year old Maura has dance training from previous years of ballet. Even\u00a0with surgery restrictions, Maura is adamant about performing a trick\u00a0on the dance floor.\u00a012-year old\u00a0Raeleigh\u00a0loves fashion, she is very considerate of others.\u00a0Raeleigh\u00a0will be joined on the dance floor by her younger sister Addisyn\u00a0who\u00a0suffers\u00a0from watching\u00a0Raeleigh\u00a0undergo treatment.<\/p>\n<p>The girls will not be partnered up with strangers. They will be dancing with their\u00a0doctors\u00a0and they love it.\u00a0Unfortunately, years of medical experience do not\u00a0transfer\u00a0to dancing. The doctors\u00a0\u2013 Alan\u00a0Langnas, David Mercer, James Ford,\u00a0and\u00a0Sachit\u00a0Patel &#8211; also\u00a0need\u00a0to train\u00a0at Vintage Ballroom to prepare for the show.<\/p>\n<p>The show is quite special. Dancers from across the country will file into the Hilton Double Tree Banquet hall for the Nebraska Dance Festival on October 20, 2018. Many of the kids are hospitalized for long periods of time &#8211; months or even years &#8211; due to the severity of their illnesses.
