Scholarship Drive<\/b><\/em><\/h2>\n

More than just a social organization, the Faculty Club of UNMC has a two-fold focus which includes generous donations by our members and the larger community for a designated Scholarship Fund providing yearly scholarships for students in all colleges at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. \u00a0Donations can be made online through this direct link:<\/p>\n

Raffles<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n

Additional funds are collected through raffle items donated by our educational speaker series co-hostesses and offered at our speaker luncheon meetings. \u00a0These raffles are fun and popular with our members.<\/p>\n

Annual Holiday Social Silent Auction<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n

Each December the Club has a social for all members to get together at a members home hosted by the Club Board.. \u00a0A silent auction with items donated by the club members takes place during the social with all proceeds added to the scholarship fund.<\/p>\n

Remembrance Funds <\/b><\/em><\/p>\n

When a friend is ill, when loved ones are bereaved, or to celebrate a special event or honor someone’s life, you may choose to remember them either by a tax-deductible contribution to our designated fund at the NU Foundation (http:\/\/nufoundation.org\/unmcfwc<\/a>) or by a non tax deductible donation in any amount to the Remembrance Fund through our Secretary.\u00a0 The Foundation will send a note informing the party of your gift in his\/her name and will send an acknowledgement to you. One hundred percent of funds received in the Faculty Club Remembrance Fund are added to the annual Scholarship distribution.<\/p>\n

Hundred of thousands of dollars have been contributed by our organization for these student scholarships over the years.<\/p>\n
