{"id":699,"date":"2016-10-24T08:00:02","date_gmt":"2016-10-24T13:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.unmc.edu\/familymedicine\/?p=699"},"modified":"2016-10-19T09:39:33","modified_gmt":"2016-10-19T14:39:33","slug":"wester-co-investigator-for-cgap-ipe-grant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.unmc.edu\/familymedicine\/2016\/10\/24\/wester-co-investigator-for-cgap-ipe-grant\/","title":{"rendered":"Wester Co-Investigator for CGAP IPE Grant"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\"><p>The UNMC College of Nursing recently received the Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment Practice Interprofessional Education (CGAP IPE) grant from the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/nexusipe.org\/accelerating\">Accelerating Interprofessional Community-based Education and Practice<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Department of Family Medicine Associate Professor, Rebecca\u00a0Wester, M.D. served as a c0-investigator for the grant along with faculty from the College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy and College of Medicine.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Wester will assist with implementation, evaluation, and dissemination of the initiative.<\/p>\n<p>The two-year\u00a0project will involve working with adult geriatric primary nurse practitioner\u00a0students and pharmacy students in interprofessional activities, including modules, simulation, and clinical practice.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Wester is the CGAP training site leader. Grant support was also received from Ambassador Health Services.
