The facility is also a great environment for simulation teaching and that is something I would look forward to at UNMC,” Shum said.

UNMC College of Medicine students Laura Pinon, Marie Rodehorst, and Dylan Smith were also on hand to answer questions about life at UNMC and assist the Alpha Epsilon Delta members with the demonstrations.

The evening concluded with a tour of the Sorrell Clinical Simulation Lab, showing the visitors the education opportunities available to UNMC students.

“I really enjoyed seeing the mock exam rooms and how UNMC uses them to give their students hands on experience. It is unique to practice conducting a patient examination and then getting feedback from your professors to help you learn more,” UNL student Hannah Schulacher said.

 <style
