Teaching Day focuses on wellness

Twice a month, family medicine residents gather for Teaching Day, a series of presentations that cover a variety of topics.

During Teaching Day at the end of November, residents experienced zen, elevated heart rates and some healthy competition during Wellness Day.

The morning begin with a presentation on Lifestyle Medicine from Assistant Professor, Dr. Sue Evans followed by some reflective writing provided by Dr. Bud Shaw.

Residents then took advantage of the space at the Center for Healthy Living on campus. Residents grabbed a mat for a guided yoga class or hopped on a bike for spin class led by Family Medicine Office Associate, Frauke Wilcox.

The final activity of the day brought all residents together for a dodgeball tournament.
