Residents offer advice to medical students

The UNMC Family Medicine Interest Group invited representatives from three local residency programs to their latest meeting on Tuesday, October 18.

More than 30 medical students gathered to hear from seven residents about the reasons they chose their respective programs and the work/life balance of a resident.

Chief resident Jamil Neme, M.D. and interns Angie Yamada, and Josh Laurila, D.O., represented the UNMC Department of Family Medicine while answering questions.

They were joined by Clarkson Family Medicine residents Angela McLaughlin, D.O., Charlie Burkett, M.D., and Timothy Reid, M.D. Adam Rensch, M.D. represented Lincoln Family Medicine.
