Mathews Works with Olympic Hopefuls

For almost two weeks this summer, Assistant Professor Monty Mathews took his practice to Omaha’s Century Link Center, home to the 2016 Olympic Swim Trials.

This is not the first time Dr. Mathews has provided care for Olympic bound athletes. He also provided care at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Swim Trials.

Dr. Mathews, along with Bellevue Family Medicine Clinic Manager Sue Trapp, RN, Offutt Air Force Base faculty member Jason Meredith, MD, and several Family Medicine house officers, provided services for allergies, rashes, even minor strains, sprains, and fractures.

“To see world-class athletes at their highest level behind the scenes and in competition made it a really great experience,” Mathews said.
