The University of Miami Health System is seeking individuals for research positions: The Clinical Research Services in the Sylvester Cancer Center is a centralized clinical trial office supporting cutting edge clinical trials for cancer patients in all areas of cancer (Phases 1-3). We provide regulatory, clinical, and quality assurance services to physician Investigators at the medical campus in Miami and at 4 satellite locations. We are the only NCI-designated cancer facility in South Florida.

Health Systems Change Manager

The DHHS Public Health Division is seeking a motivated and self-driven professional to manage and implement evidence based practices in the State of Nebraska as a Health Systems Change Manager.

Location and address of position: 301 Centennial Mall South, Lincoln, NE 68025

Work schedule: Mon-Fri 8 am to 5 pm

Examples of Work

Working with health systems or clinics serving disparate populations to assist them in implementing evidence based practices to increase cancer screening rates, and to increase hypertension control. This position is responsible for several key activities that integrate core components across funding sources: Health Systems Change, community clinical linkages, bi-directional referrals between community and primary care, and overseeing sub recipients receiving integrated funding awards. Will supervise staff working on core activities around community clinical linkages, and public health campaigns. Another essential responsibility will be collaborating with partners and bringing partners together to develop preventive screening pathways to care.Qualifications / Requirements

REQUIRMENTS: Experience working with health systems or clinics serving disparate populations, Evidence based strategies to increase cancer, and preventive screening rates within clinic populations,

PREFERRED: Medical background and or experience, (RN, APRN, PA or other related experience working within clinic systems) Experience and understanding of working with Electronic Medical Records to monitor screening rates or quality assurance. Experience in supervising staff, and bringing partners together.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Looking for an individual who is energetic and innovative, Able to work with a variety of partners including clinic staff to engage and partner around evidence based clinic strategies for health systems change. Experience in grant writing and performance measures, monitoring and evaluation. Experienced in public health and or population health principles, Supervisory experience.

Patient Safety Program Director

The Nebraska Coalition for Patient Safety (NCPS), an independent, nonprofit (501c3) organization, is a federally-listed Patient Safety Organization in the United States that provides a legally secure environment for healthcare providers to report and learn from patient safety events.

The mission of NCPS is to continuously improve the safety and quality of healthcare in the region.

The Patient Safety Specialist is responsible for implementing the structures and strategies needed to conduct patient safety activities, including meeting the patient safety reporting and education needs of NCPS members.

The Patient Safety Specialist is a patient safety and performance improvement subject matter expert that serves as an educator, coach, facilitator, and consultant for NCPSmembers and other stakeholders.

Student Worker position

We are looking for a research assistant for a newly funded mental health research project, Feasibility of Using Smartphone Apps in Primary Care to Manage Underserved Patients with Mental Illness.
