Global Health Project Associate

UNMC College of Public Health’s Center for Global Health is seeking a Project Associate. This position will provide support to the Global Health Center at the College of Public Health.  Main responsibilities include project coordination, communication and contribution to the Global Health Center.

Health Assessments & Plans Communications Specialist

The Iowa Department of Public Health is looking to fill a Health Assessments and Plans Communications Specialist to assist the department. This position functions within the Deputy Director’s Office and the Bureau of Public Health Performance.

The successful candidate for the position will assist with the coordination and technical assistance to IDPH advisory groups, state agencies, state community planning groups, and other organizations in implementing the state health needs assessment and improvement plan (SHA&SHIP).

About the position:
This is a remote, paid internship. This position supports the advancement of maternal and child health (MCH) programs by analyzing implications of health systems transformations that improve birth outcomes and overall well-being of women, children, and families. This position will support the work of AMCHP’s Health Systems Transformation (HST) team by exploring the role of state/territory Title V/MCH programs in advancing mental health and substance use disorder services, addressing emerging issues, and integrating health equity through health transformation. The position reports to the HST team Program Manager.

Description: This position will be responsible for initiatives related to Department and community priorities specifically addressing health disparities among racial and ethnic minority and underserved populations. Assigned responsibilities include assisting with planning, developing, and coordinating local health equity, environmental justice and minority health initiatives for Department programs and community outreach. The position must interact with Department leadership and external partners from both public and private sectors. The position aims to improve cultural competency and strengthen Department efforts addressing health disparities in the community.

Director of Student Assessment

The Office of Medical Education at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska, is currently seeking applicants for a full-time faculty member to serve as Director of Student Assessment.  This position is responsible for developing and overseeing data driven measures to assess and evaluate all aspects of the undergraduate medical education curriculum of the College of Medicine. The successful candidate will report to the Associate Dean of Medical Education and will work closely with phase, course, and clerkship directors, as well as with other members of the faculty and administration, to ensure that assessment and evaluation measures of students are consistently applied and are tightly linked to program objectives.
