Public Health Job Opportunities

CSTE Summer Public Health Law Internship

For more than seven decades, the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have worked together in partnership to improve the public’s health by supporting the efforts of epidemiologists working at the state and local level by promoting the effective use of epidemiologic data to guide public health practice and improve health. CSTE and its members represent two of the four basic components of public health – epidemiology and surveillance. CSTE, as a member-based organization, represents the interests of applied public health epidemiologists working in state, local, tribal, and territorial settings to improve the public’s health through effective epidemiology and surveillance. More information can be found at www.cste.org [cste.org].

CSTE is currently recruiting for their Summer 2022 Public Health Law Internship Opportunity.  This is a paid (up to $20.00/hour) opportunity for a current law student or recent law school graduate interested in public health law.  The intern will work directly under the supervision of CSTE’s Public Health Attorney, and will be responsible for supporting a variety of CSTE’s Public Health Law portfolio development and training activities. Students can find more information and apply here [workforcenow.adp.com], or submit a resume, short writing sample, AND a cover letter explaining their interest in public health law, highlight relevant experience, and relevant coursework (e.g. public health law, health law, administrative law, and research and writing)  and expertise they have to hr@cste.org and include “Public Health Law Intern” in the subject line.
