Data Manager/Coordinator

Creighton University is seeking a Data Manager/Coordinator to help collect and manage data so that it can be used to analyze business functions, productivity, and redundancies for evaluation.  The individual will assist the Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) Pipeline to Success Program Supervisor with data tracking and the development of evaluation instruments.  Will report to the Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) Pipeline to Success Program Supervisor.

This role under the direction of the Program Supervisor and Program Director, the Data Manager/Coordinator coordinates and conducts program activities that provide data to support and enhances decision-making, strategic planning, outcomes assessment, grant guidelines and external reporting; serves as liaison between department and other constituents. Perform data entry, runs reports, verifies the integrity of data and reports issues.  Designs, develops and implements moderately complex database applications to accommodate a variety of user needs.

To complete these tasks, the Data Manager/Coordinator will; (1) monitor and maintain research database; (2) perform quantitative descriptive, bivariate, multivariate, qualitative analyses (e.g., focus group, content analysis), and mixed methods research; (3) work independently and collectively on program-specific assessment projects; (4) complete data reports that are conducive to both Creighton University and HRSA; (5) meet with partners and other program entities routinely to ensure collection of data is thorough, precise and complete and; (6) extracts, manipulates, and reports data to internal and external constituencies; manages data; prepares and maintains data files; verifies data to ensure data integrity; (7) acquires, manipulates, develops, and maintains longitudinal data sets, verifying accuracy and consistency over time; writes documentation for programs and operations; (8) designs and develops standardized operational, management, and ad hoc reports; prepares reports fulfilling the requirements of federal, regional, and state agencies and other external organizations; works with user community to understand reporting needs; identifies sources; (9) serves as a resource person in areas of data management and reporting, as well as a representative on committees; performs special projects and other duties as assigned and; (10) complete other job duties as assigned by the Program Director or Program Supervisor.

Statistician

Statistician position opening at the Grand Forks Human Nutrition Research Center [ars.usda.gov] (GFHNRC) in Grand Forks, North Dakota.  

The position is through the University of North Dakota (UND). UND employees at the GFHNRC support the Center in its mission to better understand how nutrients affect human health.

Minimum Requirements 

  • Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Statistics, Bioinformatics or related quantitative field. 
  • Spring and Summer 2021 graduates will be considered for this position, degree must be conferred prior to start date. 

Duties 

  • Providing expert consultation on research design to Center scientists 
  • Completing the statistical analyses of data from human clinical trials, human laboratory experiments, animal experiments, and cell culture experiments 
  • Preparing written reports including tables and figures for Center scientists 
  • The management of databases

Data & Security Intern

The Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) is seeking a paid Data & Security intern.

Job Summary:

The Data and Security Intern is responsible for providing support for the NHA data department through a variety of channels including processing and analyzing hospital claims data and other health information to measure hospital performance, financial and clinical outcomes.  Additionally, this Intern will research hospital-based best practices and procedures to maintain internal data security.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will demonstrate experience and abilities in the following areas:

  • Will assist with the processing and analytics of hospital claims data.
  • Will process and create data analytics as assigned.
  • Will research best practices for hospital data security.  Will create hospital information materials specific to best practices.
