Applications for the Summer 2021 semester are due by Friday, April 9th at 5 pm CST.
Nebraska Appleseed interns may work to:
- Advance compassionate policy and laws for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), Temporary Protected Status (TPS) residents, and our immigrant communities.
- Promote access to basic needs such as housing and food nutrition services and programs.
- Educate Nebraskans on the importance of democracy, civic engagement, and voting.
- Learn about the specifics in the area of nonprofit management such as fundraising, expenditure management, managing office logistics, and more.
Internship details:
- Interns can work on cutting edge policy, research, and community outreach in the areas of Child Welfare, Economic Justice, Health Care Access, and Immigrants & Communities.
- Interns are able to work flexible hours; however, it is expected that interns work with their manager to establish a predictable schedule.
- Depending on the intern’s educational institution, they may be able to use their experience for college or university credit.
