Responsibilities include:
- Clean, code, and analyze survey data using descriptive statistics.
- Synthesize quantitative data into easy-to-read and visually-appealing reports.
- Polish and pilot test interview guides.
- Conduct approximately 20 interviews.
- Co-develop a qualitative analysis plan.
- Code, analyze, synthesize qualitative data.
- Review literature on topics related to reproductive health care access, clinician organizing, leadership building, journey mapping, evaluating networks, and qualitative analysis.
- Assist with the drafting of an evaluation report and present findings to the Network team.
- Assist with drafting two manuscripts for peer-review publication, with the opportunity for first authorship on one manuscript.
Education & Experience
- Commitment to sexual and reproductive justice, ethical human subjects research, and research integrity.
- Able to use quantitative data analysis software for basic statistical analysis (SPSS or R preferred).
- Able to work comfortably both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Experience conducting interviews a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with scientific (manuscript) or evaluation report writing a plus.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities, especially ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Computer savvy and willing to learn new programs. Familiarity with Dedoose or other qualitative data management programs a plus, but not necessary.
- High levels of initiative, dependability, flexibility, and humor.
- Master in Public Health student is preferred, but not required.
This position is remote. The salary is $15/hour. A commitment of 10-16 hours a week is expected, though the schedule is flexible. As a benefit, RHAP will pay for an annual professional membership of your choice and provide an additional $20/pay period work from home reimbursement. RHAP will work with your school to help you receive credit for this internship if desired.
