Assistant Professor

Full-time Assistant Professor tenure line faculty position in the newly formed Department of Epidemiology and Population Health at Stanford University. The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. We desire expertise that will lead to a robust population science research agenda, and the potential or proven ability to secure independent or collaborative extramural NCI or other NIH-type funding. We seek faculty who conduct research on the causes, prevention, and treatment of cancer with a preference for an emphasis on addressing disparities in pediatric and/or adult cancers. We are interested in a broad array of disciplines and approaches including but not limited to genetic and molecular epidemiology, community-based participatory research, and cancer prevention and survivorship. A doctoral level degree in Epidemiology or a related field, with research experience relating to early career stage.
