MLTC Deputy Director – Policy and Communications

Salary is commensurate with education and experience

Hours: 8-5, Monday – Friday

Job location is the Nebraska State Office Building, Downtown. Examples of WorkThis leader in this role will oversee and direct teams and work responsible for regulations and program accuracy for eligibility operations quality assurance, State Plan Amendments , division legislative activities, maintaining the state website and administering and monitoring various waivers such as the 1115 waivers for expansion and SUD services.

REQUIREMENTS:  Master’s Degree is required, however equivalent years of on the job experience will be considered in lieu of Master Degree, when accompanied by a Bachelor degree. Minimum of 5 years of Medicaid policy experience is required. Experience with and knowledge of State Plan Amendments, Medicaid Waivers, State and Federal rules and regulations, and state legislative life-cycle management is required. Progressive experience leading teams of 15 – 20 employees is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and strong writing and research skills are required.

PREFERRED:  Experience working with the public and public information in various modalities (in-person, virtually, and website content management).Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesThe right candidate will be an others centered servant leader, willing to work across a diverse workforce and stakeholder ecosystem to bring about meaningful change for the program and the people it serves. The individual must be skilled at making decisions under pressure and communicating in a professional manner to articulate complex policies in a straightforward and transparent manner.
