Temporary Accreditation Support Coordinator

The DHHS Division of Public Health is seeking a motivated and self-driven individual to support the divisions accreditation projects as a Temporary Accreditation Support Coordinator!

This temporary assignment is expected to last 6 months from the date of hire.Examples of Work

This position will provide support to the Division of Public Health, Office of Performance Management and the Office of Community Health, in pursuit of national public health re-accreditation status. The key functions of this job are to provide coordination support for re-accreditation related activities, including scheduling and facilitating meetings, overseeing documentation collection, tracking progress to requirements, developing communication updates, entering data into a dashboard system, data support including collection and presentation development, participate in state health improvement projects and lead specific tasks in collaboration with teams, coordinate work groups for strategic plan activities, facilitate collaborative team efforts on specific projects, develop report templates, write report content, prepare meeting materials, delegate tasks and ensure task progress, general project management.Qualifications / Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, social/behavioral sciences, health sciences, public health, education, law or related field OR experience in the development of operational policies and procedures, performing quality assurance analysis/evaluation of programs; grant writing, contract management, or leading community based health/social care groups. Related coursework, training and/or education may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree on a year-for year basis.

PREFERRED: Project management skills and experience required, proficiency in writing and report development, strong communication skills and ability to lead groups, able to facilitate team efforts and delegate tasks, must be self-motivated and able to drive progress with provided guidance, must be adaptable to new projects and quickly comprehend and take ownership of responsibilities, etc. Must have experience with Microsoft products (Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook) – proficiency desired, some experience with data management.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of basic accounting and business administration; social work and management theory; the structure of organizations; state, local and federal laws and programs relating to social service programs; available funding sources; human dynamics; learning/teaching techniques. Ability to relate well with a diverse number of individuals or organizations; analyze community’s present needs and recommend programs to achieve desired results; work with people in a variety of roles (leadership, cooperation, education, networking). Skill in persuading others to adopt programs; presenting information to groups or individuals in oral or written form; problem solving; prioritizing; goal setting; conflict resolution.
