Youth and Schools Program Manager, Special Olympics Nebraska

The Youth and Schools Program Manager will implement and manage Unified Champion Schools initiatives in schools and communities statewide.  Initiatives also include Young Athletes and the Youth Activation Committee.  The Youth and Schools Program Manager will support the program team with sport and other related initiatives and events as directed.

This position is the key resource and contact for schools, individuals and families to conduct programs which involve individuals 2-7 years of age with intellectual disabilities and implement Unified Champion Schools activities in classrooms at all age levels.  Regular statewide travel necessary. Serves as spokesperson for all education programs for Special Olympics Nebraska.

Heart Disease & Stroke Program Coordinator

The Nebraska Chronic Disease Prevention and Control Program, within the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services, is seeking a motivated and self-driven professional to provide innovation, leadership, and guidance to organizations and partners in Nebraska striving to prevent heart disease & stroke and manage associated risk factors. This position will serve as the subject matter expert for heart disease & stroke prevention and management programming with a focus on healthcare system interventions (i.e. electronic medical record utilization, team-based care, self-measured blood pressure monitoring, and medication therapy management) and community-clinical linkages (i.e. linking patients to community programs/resources). This position works as part of a collaborative team to assure effective implementation and evaluation of program activities.
