Patient Safety Program Director

The Nebraska Coalition for Patient Safety (NCPS), an independent, nonprofit (501c3) organization, is a federally-listed Patient Safety Organization in the United States that provides a legally secure environment for healthcare providers to report and learn from patient safety events.

The mission of NCPS is to continuously improve the safety and quality of healthcare in the region.

The Patient Safety Specialist is responsible for implementing the structures and strategies needed to conduct patient safety activities, including meeting the patient safety reporting and education needs of NCPS members.

The Patient Safety Specialist is a patient safety and performance improvement subject matter expert that serves as an educator, coach, facilitator, and consultant for NCPSmembers and other stakeholders.

Preparedness Program Specialist

This position will be responsible for the coordination of a statewide and/or regional preparedness program working with internal and/or external contacts to. Primary functions of this job entail the coordination, planning, training and exercise of program to ensure all parties are trained and ready in the event of activation of respective program. CHI Healthy Communities Coordinator

CHI is seeking a Healthy Communities Coordinator, to be located either in Omaha or Lincoln. The ideal candidate will have great facilitation skills, public health competence, an interest in rural health, the ability to think strategically and forge partnerships accordingly.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Leading the Community Health Needs Assessment process every three years
  • Lead and facilitate Community Benefit Action Teams at designated hospitals to create work plans responsive to identified community health needs
  • Maintain reporting and compliance for not for profit hospitals with regard to community benefit activities
  • Represent the organization in state and local health coalitions
