Summer Research Intern

The Research Intern will play a pivotal role on our interdisciplinary team between the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation and the Division of Physical Education in developing projects and databases of orthopaedic and sports patient outcomes.

Preferred KSAs:

Highly organized, independent, and analytical thinker capable.

Must be able to assist in creating efficient applications for data entry and organization for development of a patient outcomes database.

Must be able to adapt current skills and learn how to effectively use biomechanical tools and software to acquire patient data.

Effective communications is needed to foster collaboration between Orthopaedic Surgery/Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy.

Must be able to reliably test data input processes to confirm readiness for patient data collection.

Will develop research experience within several different ongoing projects, interact and learn from various well-known and experienced clinical researchers, and apply various engineering, biomechanical, computer programming, and outcomes research principles within a clinical research environment.
