Students interested in Global Health may consider opportunities with a small non-governmental organization in Belize Central America – Hillside Healthcare International. This opportunity may provide field experiences in the Toledo District of Southern Belize – the poorest region in the country.  Hillside has a well established portfolio of programs in public health and employs a full time MPH qualified Belizean public health director. Internship & Volunteer Opportunities with Legal Aid of Nebraska

Legal Aid of Nebraska has several internship and volunteer opportunities for summer throughout Nebraska. There are openings in Omaha, Lincoln, Grand Island and North Platte.  The internship is available through the Agricultural Worker Rights Program, which requires a proficiency in Spanish. The other opportunities are relevant to multiple areas, specific to social justice and poverty issues. A description of the corresponding opportunities may be found here.
