UNMC’s Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) is a national program established by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. SHPEP is a six-week residential summer enrichment program for first and second year college students interested in the health professions. See more about SHPEP here: http://www.shpep.org/
We are fortunate to be one of only 13 universities across the country to host this program, and each year we call upon current UNMC students to help make the program as successful as possible. This year there are three ways to be involved, all paid:
- Teaching Assistant (during the 6wk summer session), a great option for those who are looking to get a bit of teaching experience, and be exposed to a variety of content from experts across campus. Application deadline February 16. Job description: 2018 SHPEP Teaching Assistant Application link.
- Resident Assistant (during the 6wk summer session), for those who want to help the student visitors from across the nation have a great time while in Omaha!
