Domestic Violence Outreach Coordinator -Native American Program

Legal Aid of Nebraska seeks an Outreach Coordinator for its Native American Program. The position is based in the Bancroft or Omaha office. With the support of the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska, Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, and Santee Sioux Nation, Legal Aid’s Native American Program has developed a program to help end domestic violence and other forms of victimization in Nebraska’s Native American communities.  The Outreach Coordinator will assist in an community outreach and education campaign in Nebraska’s Native American Communities, including the Santee and Winnebago Tribal Reservations and the Ponca Service Delivery Area, designed to improve community response to domestic violence, sexual assault, sex trafficking, and stalking, and increase knowledge of Legal Aid of Nebraska’s services.  The Outreach Coordinator will also develop an education program to increase community understanding of the dynamics and effects of domestic violence, sexual assault, sex trafficking, and stalking.  Travel to Omaha, and throughout Northeast Nebraska required. Applicants should have excellent written and oral communication skills. Ideal candidate will have a connection to Native American and domestic violence issues. State-of-the-art-technology.
