The Administrative Office of the Courts Court Improvement Project (CIP) is taking applications for a CIP Evaluator position. This position works cooperatively with other divisions of the Nebraska Supreme Court, Juvenile Probation, Children and Family Services, as well as other statewide agencies. Using quantitative and qualitative methods, the successful candidate will be responsible for the creation, analysis, evaluation and management of data as well as on-going data-driven collaboration with 26 multidisciplinary “Through the Eyes of the Child Teams.” The CIP Evaluator will provide quantitative and qualitative reports to the courts and stakeholders, will conduct training and information sessions as required, and will work with stakeholders to address systemic issues. Ability to develop, implement, manage, and evaluate projects and processes; knowledge of professional program evaluation standards and theories; ability to work independently and successfully in a group environment; ability to prioritize and balance multiple deadlines; capacity to deliver data analysis reports either in report/presentation format, or publicly to the Nebraska Judicial Branch, stakeholders, and other sources requesting information; as well as proficient computer skills in spreadsheets, database analysis, presentation software and database query software.
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in statistics, business, applied mathematics, sociology, or related field with preferred undergraduate or graduate work in data analysis, research methods, and SQL. Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
Preferred: Work experience in applying statistical methods and techniques such as standard deviation, correlation coefficient, regression analysis, or other inferential statistics to program with large administrative or demographic data sets. Knows and applies program evaluation foundations that ground and guide professional practice such as standards, guidelines, principles, competencies, approaches and theories.
