2 Research Associate Positions (Data Coordinator & Study Coordinator)

Nationwide Children’s Hospital

We are seeking 2 individuals to join our growing team conducting high-impact pediatric research in a fast-paced and mission-focused research environment. Our research focuses on improving the lives of young children, especially those who are at risk for poor neurodevelopmental, behavioral, or growth outcomes. Our work is funded by the NIH, CDC, HRSA, and the March of Dimes.

 

Position 1: Research Associate/Data Coordinator – The successful candidate will work across multiple studies on data management, reporting, and analysis activities. Specifically, the candidate will create and maintain study databases in Access and RedCap, maintain codebooks/data dictionaries, enter study data, score standardized measures, and program web-based surveys using RedCap. They will also perform data cleaning, data management tasks using SAS (e.g., merging and linking datafiles), report writing, and data analysis for the purposes of evaluating study operational performance or progress reporting or scientific publications. Other technical tasks as assigned. Requires working collaboratively within a research team. Position available now.

Position 2:  Research Associate/Study Coordinator  – This position will involve direct interaction with parents and their young children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (aged 2 to 6 years old), both in person and over the phone for a clinical trial of a dietary supplement. Duties to include: participant recruitment; management of regulatory requirements and reporting; guiding the informed consent process; collecting data online, over the phone, and in person at Nationwide Children’s Hospital; entering data into a computer database; maintaining participant files and tracking research family progress throughout multiple study visits; participant retention activities; making recommendations about refinement and/or replacement of study procedures; analyzing operational and outcome related data. Miscellaneous related duties as required. Experience working with children with ASD a plus. Some evening and weekend hours will be required to accommodate data collection efforts.
