Live Well Omaha Kids Internship

LWOK seeks a graduate-level intern for one year, from summer 2017 to summer 2018. This is a mutually
beneficial relationship where an intern can enhance LWOK’s capacity to effectively influence healthy
habits in our community and develop professional and personal skills to apply in their future careers.

The specific work of the LWOK intern will be to: 1. engage with school board/school district/schools to
identify a shared policy priority around physical activity and nutrition, 2. support LWO staff to convene
agencies/organizations on a regular basis to share resources and rally support around the shared policy
priority, and 3. assist in relevant grant writing opportunities.

Data Analyst Intern

Deadline: September 7, 2017

The AgriSafe Network has an opening for a data analyst Intern. The Intern is responsible for supporting the work of Invest in Your Health evaluation team.  The intern will provide data analyst support to measure program outcomes and changes in behavior among student participants.  The intern will also write summary reports and participate in team meetings.

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the internship is an unpaid, 2-4 month opportunity with the possibility of extension. It is designed for students to obtain relevant work experience in order to be competitive for future positions in public health or other non-profit/for profit arenas, with an emphasis on agricultural occupational health.   • Long-term relationship building and leadership development among populations affected by health care access and poverty issues.
  • Grassroots advocacy campaigns engaging community members to take action on health care access and anti-poverty public policies.
  • Increasing awareness and understanding on issues of health care access and economic justice in Nebraska.
