Hofstra University, a private, nonsectarian, co-educational institution, is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor faculty position in the Department of Health Professions. The successful candidate will join a vibrant MPH Program to teach, engage in scholarship and service for committee and department assignments alongside a multi-disciplinary faculty and a diverse student body with a deep commitment to enhancing social justice. Primary responsibilities will be in the MPH program, with some teaching assignments in the Master of Health Administration and undergraduate health sciences programs.
Candidates must hold a PhD, DrPH, or MD by 1 August 2017, in Epidemiology, Biostatistics or closely related public health discipline (includes, but are not limited to, Statistics, Economics, Medicine, Political Science, Psychology, Public Health, Public Policy, and Sociology). Preference will be given to candidates with an established record or demonstrated potential for teaching excellence, collaborative scholarly activity, mentoring students, and working with local healthcare and community groups.
