MCH Epi II position

The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) is seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Epidemiologist at the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Bureau. This position is responsible for the surveillance, investigation, and evaluation of MCH program data and related issues for the Maternal and Child Health Bureau. Duties include maintaining and analyzing comprehensive MCH datasets in order to assist with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs to improve maternal and child health in Maryland. WIC Nutritionist or WIC Nurse

Location: Lincoln, NE

Description: Part-time job opportunity. Duties would include determining program eligibility for the WIC program, issuing food benefits, providing nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and making community referrals. We require a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field, with RN/RD preferred. The hours would be Tuesdays (8-5), Wednesdays (8-5), 2 Thursdays (8-5), 1-2 Fridays (8-4:30), and 1-2 Saturdays (8-Noon) per month, plus possible additional days as needed. It ends up averaging 20-25 hours weekly. May have the opportunity for Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) certification.

Kolker Fellowship
