The Health Systems Interventions Coordinator serves under the administrative direction of the Program Manager for Health Systems and Disease Management in the Chronic Disease Prevention and Control Program within the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (NDHHS), and works cooperatively under the components of “State and Local Public Health Actions to Prevent Diabetes, Heart Disease, Obesity and Associated Risk Factors and Promote School Health” grants from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. Director of Training and Technical Assistance

The Health Center Association of Nebraska (HCAN) is seeking a Director of Training and Technical Assistance, who will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing initiatives to strengthen and expand the health center network in Nebraska by assessing the training needs of Nebraska’s Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and Health Center Look-Alikes; developing innovative training and technical assistance opportunities and initiatives to meet those needs; managing HCAN staff and contractors providing these services; and evaluating agency performance in meeting training and technical assistance goals.  The  Director of Training & Technical Assistance will represent HCAN in state, federal and regional partnerships; work with leadership at the health centers to support quality improvement in the areas of clinical performance, health outcomes, finance, operations and workforce development; and direct grants and contracts in support of HCAN’s training goals and objectives.  This position reports to the CEO.
