She is excited to teach the Quality Improvement course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Carney graduated from Quinnipiac University&#8217;s Physician Assistant program where she obtained her Master in Health Science degree.\u00a0She has been working as a Hospitalist PA at Yale New Haven Hospital since graduating in 2009.\u00a0She moved into a leadership position for the department in 2020 and now manages a large group of PAs and APRNs.\u00a0She obtained her Doctor of Medical Science degree from the University\u00a0of Lynchburg with a concentration in Administrative Medicine.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Carney lives in Connecticut with her husband and three children, who are all hockey players.\u00a0In her spare time, she travels between ice rinks, cheering on their hockey teams.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Heather Carney, DMSc, PA-C, recently joined our faculty as an adjunct assistant professor in the Doctor of Medical Science program.
