The UNMC Interprofessional Academy of Educators held a Spotlight on Scholarship event on March 28, highlighting a variety of health sciences education research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Out of the 17 projects from more than 50 authors, the College of Allied Health Professions pulled in the top three awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outstanding Presentation Awards<\/strong>
First Place<\/strong> went to second-year genetic counseling student Lizz Reese, along with Sarah McBrien, PhD, Brittany Bowman, Laura Cudzilo-Kelsey, MD, and Sara Fisher, for their presentation, Ob\/Gyn Residents\u2019 Confidence Completing Prenatal Genetics-Related Tasks Before and After an Interactive Educational Intervention<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second Place<\/strong> went to Kim Michael, EdD, for A Novel Study to Assess Diagnostic Medical Sonography Students\u2019 Belongingness in the Clinical Learning Environment<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Third Place<\/strong> went to Tanya Custer, PhD(c), for Are You Ready? Assessing the Impact of Online Professional Development on Health Professions Educators’ Readiness and Knowledge for Online and Blended Teaching<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
