{"id":660,"date":"2010-02-05T13:52:14","date_gmt":"2010-02-05T19:52:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.unmc.edu\/alliedhealth\/?p=660"},"modified":"2010-02-05T13:52:14","modified_gmt":"2010-02-05T19:52:14","slug":"physical-therapy-students-participate-in-legislative-day-at-the-nebraska-state-capitol","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.unmc.edu\/alliedhealth\/2010\/02\/05\/physical-therapy-students-participate-in-legislative-day-at-the-nebraska-state-capitol\/","title":{"rendered":"Physical Therapy Students Participate in Legislative Day at the Nebraska State Capitol"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\"><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt\"><span>Many of the second-year Physical Therapy students participated in Legislative Day at the State Capitol in Lincoln on Wednesday, February 3<sup>rd<\/sup>.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>The event jointly sponsored by the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association and the Nebraska Medical Association promoted the national program, \u201cExercise is Medicine.\u201d This program promotes health and wellness through increasing physical activity and exercise as well as the benefits of exercise in the management of many chronic conditions. Students staffed education booths in the Rotunda of the Capitol, and provided information and answered questions from the public and legislative personnel.
