{"id":6240,"date":"2021-11-15T07:39:00","date_gmt":"2021-11-15T13:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.unmc.edu\/alliedhealth\/?p=6240"},"modified":"2021-11-12T12:44:09","modified_gmt":"2021-11-12T18:44:09","slug":"mia-hyde-honored-with-2021-paea-clinical-education-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.unmc.edu\/alliedhealth\/2021\/11\/15\/mia-hyde-honored-with-2021-paea-clinical-education-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Mia Hyde honored with 2021 PAEA Clinical Education Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p>The Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) Clinical Education Award recognizes a program faculty or staff member with a minimum of three years of experience coordinating the clinical education of PA students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2016,\u00a0Mia Hyde\u00a0has served as\u00a0Director of Clinical Development\u00a0at\u00a0the\u00a0Division of Physician Assistant Education at tince 2016,\u00a0Mia Hyde\u00a0has served as\u00a0Director of Clinical Development\u00a0at\u00a0the\u00a0Division of Physician Assistant Education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.\u00a0Ms. Hyde leads\u00a0a\u00a0collaborative Clinical Education Team that identifies individual student interests, clinical rotation goals, and career aspirations. This is done through an initial presentation to students regarding rotation opportunities, followed by individual meetings which seek to identify students\u2019 interest in rotation specialties and settings, identify locations with a support system for the student, and discuss potential challenges to clinical education.
