What specialties and settings do physical therapists work in? What type of patients do physical therapists treat? What are the focus and goals of physical therapy treatments?<\/p>\n<p>Physical therapy students from Students of the University of Nebraska \u2212 American Physical Therapy Association (SUN-APTA) answered these questions and more when they presented, \u201cHow does Physical Therapy Fit into Patient Care?\u201d to medical and physician assistant students. This interprofessional seminar was funded by a student senate boss grant and included free pizza for the attendees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a very creative approach to interprofessional learning,\u201d said Kyle Meyer, PhD, dean of the College of Allied Health Professions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSharing information with future healthcare providers about the role of PTs as movement experts is exciting.
