He was the only recipient in the undergraduate program category (they give three scholarships annually \u2013 one to a student in an undergraduate program, two to students in programs at the graduate level).<\/p>\n<p>Logan, son of Kurt and Dixie Teten of Syracuse, NE, attends the Health Science Education Complex (HSEC) on the Kearney campus, so on a recent monthly visit there, CAHP Dean Kyle Meyer, PhD, presented him with the check.<\/p>\n<p>The inspiration for Logan\u2019s scholarship essay was his cousin, Kala Griepenstroh (pictured below), who was diagnosed with breast cancer in February of 2017.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe&#8217;s been battling the disease for two years now,\u201d said Logan, \u201cand she always keeps a strong mind and positive outlook.
