{"id":4605,"date":"2016-04-19T07:30:12","date_gmt":"2016-04-19T12:30:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.unmc.edu\/alliedhealth\/?p=4605"},"modified":"2018-01-24T15:49:41","modified_gmt":"2018-01-24T21:49:41","slug":"nsrt-conference-a-success-for-rste-faculty-and-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.unmc.edu\/alliedhealth\/2016\/04\/19\/nsrt-conference-a-success-for-rste-faculty-and-students\/","title":{"rendered":"NSRT conference a success for RSTE faculty and students"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\"><p>RSTE students and faculty made a good showing again at the 85th Annual Nebraska Society of Radiologic Technologists Annual Conference in Gering, NE.<\/p>\n<p>Tanya Custer, Christina Gregg, Kim Michael &amp; Jim Temme attended, along with all of the senior radiography students and 10 junior radiography students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Presentations<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tanya Custer, Christina Gregg, and Kim Michael presented a lecture titled Medical Imaging of the Transgender Patient.<\/li>\n<li>Jim Temme presented a Q &amp; A session on behalf of the Nebraska Medical Radiography Board. Jim also served as the Awards &amp; Trophies coordinator for the conference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Board Member Elections<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stephen Baker, current Radiation Therapy Student &amp; NSRT Student Representative, was elected as Nominations Chair for the 2016-2017 year.<\/li>\n<li>Christina Gregg has served on the NSRT board for the past year (2015-2016) as Vice President &amp; was re-elected in the position for the upcoming year.<\/li>\n<li>Tanya Custer has served as President Elect for the past year (2015-2016), and also served as the student bowl coordinator. She was installed as President at the conference for the 2016-2017 year.
